Mountain Parks Stewardship project - All Ages

Join Denver Mountain Park Rangers, Wild Aware and Jefferson County Open Space on a joint project to remove old barb wire fencing along the border of Alderfer Three Sisters and Elephant Butte. PARKING: Meet at 9 am at the Alderfer/Three Sisters West lot here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bqZkJEKvVdbWkK3MA We will be shuttling via van into the interior of the park, so please be on time! This activity involves hiking and using common tools like pliers and fence cutters. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. As this is an outdoor activity, please dress in appropriate layers for the weather. WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Long Sleeve Shirt Closed-toed shoes are required (no sandals) Long pants and a hat Sunglasses or eye-protection glasses Your own sack lunch + any snacks you may need Work gloves if you have them (we will have extras as well) 2+ liters of water Rain gear Sunscreen, insect repellent, any required medications A day pack (to hold all of the above)
