Denver Park Enhancement Project

NOTE - We are shifting this event to a Bioblitz rather than a Trash Bash this month. You can still come out to collect trash, but the main focus will be collecting data on what critters and plants are living in the park! Join DPR for a Community Bioblitz! Bioblitz's help us understand what kind of flora and fauna are living in our park system. We will be using iNaturalist to record data on plants, animals, and insects all over the park. No experience necessary! Difficulty level: easy Bring your phone or tablet! Before you arrive, it is best if you've already downloaded the iNaturalist app and created an account: https://www.inaturalist.org/login This is a kid friendly event! Please bring your kids along. Any youth under 13 must have adult supervision. How to Prepare • Check the weather; wear comfortable clothing that you’re okay with getting dirty! • What to bring: Gloves, water in refillable bottle, sunscreen, hat, and sturdy footwear (no open-toed shoes). Waiver We require all volunteers to sign our liability waiver, which can be done on the day of the project when you check in if you haven’t completed it already. Health & Safety Guidelines • Stay home if you’re feeling unwell (fever, cough, shortness of breath). • Due to high temps and poor air quality, those at higher health risk are encouraged to stay home. • Practice good hygiene. Wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol). Additional Notes • All children must be supervised. • We love pets but they are not allowed on volunteer projects for their safety and the safety of our volunteers.
